Chana masala Recipe




Ingredients.                                             Quantity 

1. Kabuli chana ( cheakpeas).                    1 cup
2. Onions                                                        2 nos
3. Tomatoes.                                                  2 nos
4. Green chillies.                                          3 
5. Red kashmiri chillies                              2 
6. Ginger garlic paste.                                 1 tbsp
7. Oil.                                                              2 tbsp
8. Garam masala.                                         1 tbsp
9. Chana masala powder.                           2 tbsp
10. Kasuri methi                                          1/2 tbsp
11. Amchur powder (optional).                1/2 tbsp
12. Turmeric powder                                  1/2 tbsp
13. Red chilli powder.                                 1 tbsp
14. Coriander powder.                               1 1/2 tbsp
15. Jeera ( cumin seeds).                           1 tbsp
16. Bayleaf ( tejpatta).                                1 
17. Cinnamon ( dalchini).                         1 stick
18. salt.                                                         As per taste.



Method

1. Soak the chana or chickpeas overnight in 2 Cup water.

2. now take a pressure cooker , add 2 cup of water then add the soaked chickpeas and cover and cook for or 2 -3 whistles.

3. Till then it is cooking you can chop all the vegetables . vegetables should be choped very fine.

4. Take a kadai or a vessel . Add 2 tbsp of oil then add bayleaf, red chillies , green chillies , cumin seeds , and fry for a minute .

5. Add chopped onions and stir till they become golden brown.

6. Add chopped tomatoes and immediately add salt and cook till tomatoes losses it's juice.

7. Them add all the masalas . And a 1/2 cup water and cook

8. Take a big blender and transfer the mixture in that it and blend it till it become a fine paste.

9. now again transfer it to kadai after blending ( take care of your hands coz it is hot) and add the boiled chanas(cheakpeas) in that .

10. Add 2 cup of water again and cook for 10 minutes.

11. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves .
