French Bread / BAQUETTE
Ingredients. Quantity
1. Refined Flour. 500 gm
2. Salt. 10 gm
3. Yeast. 20 gm
4. Warm water. 300 ml ( aprx )
Method
1. Dissolve the yeast in a little or the measured water.
2. Sieve the flour with the salt.
3. Combine all the ingredients and need to firm dough.
4. cover and leave to prove for approx 1 hour at 27 degree Celsius.
5. divide into portions of 320 gram .roll the dough into an oval and start rolling tightly from one side to another.
6. Using the palms of your hand, roll the dough to taper at the ends.
7. Place seam side down on greased and dusted pans.
8. Prove, brush / spray with water and slash/ diagonally with the sharp knife.
9. Bake with steam for 10 minutes at 250 degree Celsius.
