Goan fish curry



Ingredients.                                                     Quantity        

1. Pomfret or any fresh fish.                           200 grams 
2. Coconut grated.                                              1/2 cup 
3. Coriander seeds.                                            1/2 tbsp 
4. Peppercorns.                                                   4 
5. Cloves of garlic.                                              4
6. Red kashmiri chillies.                                   5
7. Turmeric powder.                                          1/2 tbsp
8. Two pieces of kokum.                                    2 
9. Salt.                                                                    To taste


Method

1. Clean and cut the fish into slices . Apply salt generously.

2. Grind together the coconut, red chillies, coriander , peppercorns and garlic cloves into fine paste .

3. In a pot put in the ground paste along with turmeric powder and bring a boil. Then add the fish and salt to taste . Lower the flame and let cook till the fish is tender.

4. Lastly add the kokum . Serve over hot white rice .
