Matar Paneer




Ingredients.                                                  Quantity

1. Paneer ( cottage cheese ).                            200 gram
2. Fresh matar.                                                   1 cup
3. Onions.                                                             2 
4. Tomatoes.                                                        2 
5. Ginger garlic paste.                                       2 tbsp               
6. Green chillies                                                2 nos                                  
7. Jeera                                                               1 tbsp
8. Elaichi.                                                            1 nos
5. Red chilli powder                                         1 tbsp
6. Paneer masala.                                              2 tbsp
7. Turmeric powder.                                       1 tbsp
8. Coriander powder.                                     2 tbsp
9. Oil                                                                   3 tbsp
10. Salt.                                                             As per taste



Method

1. Cut the Paneer into medium dices and keep it in a bowl. Add half spoon red chilli powder , half spoon turmeric powder and little salt , and mix it thoroughly.

2. Take a pan , add 1 tbsp of oil and shallow fry the marinated paneer. After some golden spots appears on it, Remove it .

3. Chop all the the ingredients roughly and keep it.

4. Take a Kadai or a pan. Add oil then add onions , after 1 min , add ginger garlic paste, chillies  and after few min add the tomatoes. ( Don't fry them too much ).

5. Remove the mixture and transfer it in a blender and make a fine paste or puree of the fried mixture . Remove and keep aside.

6. Take a kadai . Add oil , add jeera , add elaichi then add red chilli powder then immediately add the blend puree in it.

7. Fry it until oil starts appearing on top .

8. After it looses all oil . Add coriander powder , turmeric powder , red chilli powder , paneer masala and salt. Mix it properly and add 1 cup of water.

9. After 2 minutes add the fresh matar and the shallow fried paneer in the whole thing. Add more water if needed.

10. Cover it and cook for 8 minutes.

11. Switch off the gas flame . And serve it with paratha , rice or roti .
