Jam tarts recipe
Ingredients. Quantity
1. Butter. 250 grams
2. Sugar. 125 grams
3. Eggs. 50 grams
4. Refined flour. 375 grams
5. Salt. 5 grams
6. Vanilla essence. 5 ml
7. Jam. 125 grams
Method
1. Cream the butter till soft.
2. Add the sugar and continue creaming till light and fluffy.
3. Gradually add the egg and vanilla essence, beat well after each addition.
4. Sieve together the flour and salt told into cream mixture.
5. Rest the dough in the freezer for at least half an hour.
6. Roll on a flat surface to 1/2 inch thickness line. The tart moulds with the pastry and fill 2- 3 with jam.
7. Cut strips of the dough and make a trellies on the tart.
8. Bake in oven preheated to approximately to 15 to 20 minutes .
