Chicken Biryani
Ingredients. Quantity
1. Chicken. 500 grams
2. Basmati Rice. 600 grams
3. Curd 4 tbsp
4. Ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp
5. Onions 4 nos
6. Tomatoes 3 nos
7. Green chillies. 3 nos
8. Garam masala powder. 2 tbsp
9. Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
10 . Biryani masala 3 tbsp
11. Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
12. Coriander powder. 1 tbsp
13. Oil 4 tbsp
14. Salt as per taste
Dry spices
1. Bayleaf. 1 nos
2. Red chillies. 2 nos
3. Cinnamon. 1 stick
4. Cardamom. 2-3 nos
5. Jeera 1 tbsp
6. Cloves. 3-4 nos
Method
1. Take a bowl . Add the washed chicken in it then add ginger garlic paste (half spoon) , salt , curd, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and keep it for marinating for 1/2 hour .
2. Now wash the basmati rice and keep it in water for 10 min .
3. Take a pressure cooker and add all the dry spices mentioned above stir for a minute.
4. Add chopped onions and fry till they become golden brown.
5. Then add a spoon of ginger garlic paste and stir . After they are done , add chopped tomatoes and immediately add salt . Cover it and let the tomato fully cooked.
6. After they are cooked properly add all the masalas and a half cup water . Let cook it for a 5 min .
7. Add the marinated chicken and cover the lid and cook for atleast 2 whistles . Then switch off the gas nob.
8. Open the lid check the chicken then add the washed basmati rice in it . Add add chopped coriander leaves on top . Sprinkle some garam masala too on top and soen fried onions .
9. Then cook it for more 2-3 whistles and it's done . Allow the cooker to cool it themselves .
10 .check the rice if cooked properly and serve hot with some Schezwan sauce.
